Start training girls!
As of 2013, Seattle has a professional Women’s soccer team. The Seattle Reign FC is part of the eight-team National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) that receives support from the United States Soccer Federation, the Canadian Soccer Association and the Mexican Football Federation.
You can meet some of these amazing women athletes at our Girls Can Do event on May 17. They will be onstage introducing our speakers and then talking with girls after the event during the individual question and answer time.
Seattle Reign FC is currently in the middle of their season, so make your way to Memorial Stadium in Seattle Center and attend a high energy home game. Also check out their Facebook page for loads of fantastic women’s soccer shots.
